Frequently asked questions
Why does my scanned PDF return empty text?
Scans are photographs of pages — there is no embedded text to extract. OCR (recognizing letters inside images) is a different technology this tool deliberately doesn't fake.
Is the reading order preserved?
Text is grouped line-by-line using position data, which handles standard documents well. Complex magazine-style layouts may need light cleanup.
Does my document get uploaded?
No. Text extraction happens entirely on your device — the file never leaves your browser.
