Good to know

No. Image compression happens entirely on your device — the file never leaves your browser.
How much smaller will my image get?
It depends on the source file. Photos usually shrink by 50–85% at balanced quality; screenshots and graphics that are already optimized may shrink less. The tool always shows you the exact before/after sizes before you download.
Will compression reduce my image quality?
Compression trades some quality for size. Use the quality slider to find your balance — around 80% is visually indistinguishable from the original for most photos. You can also resize dimensions to save more.
